Camper Fire in the Ambler Section of Upper Dublin Twp

At approximately 6 pm on Wednesday, the Wissahickon Fire Company was dispatched to an “Unknown Type Fire” in the area of Church Street and South Main in Ambler Borough. This designation is often used when a 9-1-1 caller believes the see a fire, but cannot determine what is actually burning. Crews responded to the area and ultimately located a mobile camper that was heavily involved. With the assistance of the Fort Washington Fire Company, firefighter extinguished the blaze and assisted the Fire Marshal with their investigation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
