Wissahickon Fire Company conducts an annual fund drive to purchase needed emergency apparatus and equipment.Please be generous.We understand that many organizations ask for money and there are times you feel that you just give and give.Please remember the Wissahickon Fire Company is a 100%-volunteer organization protecting the residents and businesses of the Township and assisting surrounding townships and boroughs when needed.
We are an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit group of men and women who put their lives on the line in order to save the lives and properties of others. And we do it for NO Pay!When you donate to WFC, all of your money goes directly to the fire company to purchase needed equipment and apparatus. You can see the equipment and gear your donation goes towards by stopping at either of our stations while our members are there and meet the people that will use the equipment to help our community in its time of need.
Imagine it is 2:00 in the morning and the members of WFC are awakened from a sound sleep.Someone has reported a fire in their home.Within minutes, thirty or more professionally-trained men and women respond to your potential disaster.It happens more often that we would like to think.We must be prepared for all emergencies.It's part of our responsibility to make sure that we provide the best qualified people and adequate, updated equipment to assist you in such emergencies.Unfortunately, we can't do it alone.Without your contribution, we can't afford the vital equipment and training or provide the necessary maintenance to keep our apparatus in good repair.WE NEED YOUR HELP!
If you recently moved into the community and received a letter with the previous resident's name, you can still send it in. Just correct the name on the reply card and mail it in with your donation. If you did not receive a mailing at all, please call us at 215-646-1266 or you can drop off a tax-deductible donation in the mailbox at our main station at 245 Race Street in Ambler.

False Phone Solicitations for County Firefighters
There have been reports in surrounding areas of the county that a company is soliciting money for Montgomery County firefighters.The claim is that the money will go to assist local fire companies and firefighters.Please be aware that this is NOT TRUE.The county fire organizations did not initiate any solicitations.We will NOT receive any funds contributed to these organizations.The Wissahickon Fire Company does not make phone calls or go door-to-door to ask for donations.
We send out an annual fund drive letter that clearly identifies the Wissahickon Fire Company. Please, if you want to give to YOUR volunteer fire company, donate to the Wissahickon Fire Company directly via the fund drive mailer, drop a check off at either Fire Station, or mail a check with your name and residence address to: Wissahickon Fire Company, Attn: Annual Fund Drive, 245 E Race Street, Ambler, PA 19002.
