Tuesday evening July 27th 2010 our 5th annual Firefighter Camp Graduation was Held. The campers showed their families what they had learned in the 4 weekly evening course. The campers demonstrated their skills by responding to and extinguishing a mock car fire. The campers then received certificates presented by Fire Chief John Leadbeater and Camp coordinator Lieutenant Sean Mathews. The evening was capped off with a barbecue for all the campers, their loved ones, local dignitaries, and the firefighters from Wissahickon and surrounding fire companies that taught them. Thanks go out to all our campers for participating, their loves ones for attending graduation, and all those who helped to make it all possible.
One camper Marissa Fabiszewski received as special visit from a special friend Dan O'Connell a career firefighter from Cape Cod Massachusetts.
