On Sunday 7-18-2010 at 852hrs, Norriton Fire Company Sta #61- responded to the Towne Manor West Building for a roof fire. Reported was work crews on the roof putting a rubber roof down. The fire was under control in 15 minutes, but the building needed to be evacuated.
Assisting Norriton Fire Company, were Center Square, Harmonville, Norristown, Wissahickon and Swedeland fire companies and ambulance crews from Second Alarmers, Lafayette, Narberth, Lower Providence, Whitemarsh and Plymouth.
Special Thanks to Septa who provided two handicapped equipped buses to help transport patients to the Towne Manor East Building
