HONOR GUARD POLICIES
Formed FEBRUARY 2004
MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of
the Wissahickon Fire Company Honor Guard is to provide
distinguished representation of our organization at any event in
which we participate. We are, and will remain committed to the
standards we have established and a commitment to excellence
will be conveyed at all times.
ESTABLISHMENT: The Honor Guard is
a team of individuals selected from willing and able members of
the Wissahickon Fire Company. As representatives of the company,
Honor Guard members shall adhere to all rules, regulations, and
policies of the company while participating in any function.
Honor Guard members shall also be required to conform to the
rules and regulations established specifically for the team as
outlined below. Due to the nature of the team and what it stands
for, regulations may be more stringent than those placed on
other members of the organization.
The Wissahickon Fire Company
Honor Guard is a team that trains together to provide both Color
Guard and Honor Guard services. Teamwork and uniformity is of
major importance to the success of the Honor guard. For this
reason attendance at meetings and practices is essential.
Participation in the Honor Guard is voluntary, but active
members can be removed from the team for lack of participation,
and for violations of the Honor Guard or Company rules and
regulations or policies.
